About Summit
Power Point Presentations from Summit:
The 2012 CMTA Manufacturers Summit:
Can California Compete for jobs in America's Manufacturing Renaissance? will be held Thursday, June 28 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Sacramento Convention Center.
The Keynote Speaker will be Joel Kotkin. Joel is one of America's leading demographers, who opines frequently about California politics, demographics and economic issues.
Also confirmed is Bill Watkins, Executive Director of California Lutheran University's Center for Economic Research & Forecasting (CLUCERF), who will present CLUCERF's Quarterly Economic Forecast for California. Cal Lutheran is nationally recognized for it's quarterly economic forecasts focusing on the U.S., California and Oregon.
In addition, we will release findings from two CMTA commissioned research projects on manufacturing investment decisions and overall AB 32 cost impacts. The agenda will focus on the issues that make California a difficult location for manufacturers to compete for new industrial investments.
The Summit will be webcast live, or you can register online to attend for $25.
