There are two important regional manufacturing events in California this week.

CMTA’s new President Lance Hastings will be presenting the State of California Manufacturing and the Association’s 2019 Opportunities Agenda to the Inland Empire Manufacturing Summit this Thursday, February 14 in Riverside. More than 500 people are expected to attend and the event is a “Don’t miss" for all manufacturers in the the Riverside and San Bernardino area.

7th Annual Inland Empire Manufacturers Summit

Posted by Gino DiCaro, VP, Communications on Jan. 22, 2018

A spectacular Summit for manufacturers in the Inland Empire area is coming February 15th from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center.

The Manufacturing Council of the Inland Empire's (MCIE) topics include the next generation of machinists, attracting students to manufacturing, California's regulatory and legislative landscape, additive manufacturing, exports and more.

MCIE is also handing out their much coveted E=mc2 awards, presented to local manufacturers who demonstrate the most innovation in:

  • improving resource or energy efficiency
  • employment and workforce issues
  • effective marketing

The trophy represents manufacturing at its best — with an elegant design, created with skilled craftsmanship. Recent winners include Celestica of Ontario, CA and Phenix Technology of Riverside, CA.

If you are a manufacturer in the area don't miss this opportunity. Speakers include CMTA's recent Champion Titan Gilroy of Titans of CNC, Carolyn Lee of the National Association of Manufacturers, Josh Davies, the author of "Less Talk, More Walk", and CMTA President Dorothy Rothrock.

More than 600 business leaders and representatives from throughout the region attend this event every year.  This is an annual CMTA favorite and we hope to see you there.
