CMTA-sponsored manufacturing tax bill gains legislative support

One of the issues topping CMTA’s Grow Manufacturing Agenda for 2017 is extension of the partial Sales and Use Tax Exemption (STE) for manufacturing and R&D equipment purchases. This past week that effort, cosponsored by the California Taxpayers’ Association (CalTax), garnered significant legislative support adding a slew of coauthors to AB 600  by Assemblymember Jim Cooper (D-Elk Grove) and SB 600 by Senator Cathleen Galgiani (D-Stockton).
