The deadline to apply for California's first-ever citizen-run Redistricting Commission is February 12.  They need lots of applicants to inevitably fill out the 14-member commission.

The only prerequisites to apply are that you:
    •    Must have been registered in the same party for the last five years
    •    Must have voted in two of three of the last four generals
    •    Can't be a registered lobbyist
    •    Can't be (or have been) elected to any office
    •    Can't have contributed more than $2,000 to any campaign.
Drawing fair California districts is of utmost importance and, for the first time in our state's history, ordinary citizens hold the power over elected officials in this process.   You could be a part of it if you apply and get selected.
