Manufacturers take November ballot positions

CMTA’s Board of Directors voted to take three more positions on the November ballot initiatives at its board meeting last week in San Diego. The association has now taken a position on seven initiatives.

Positions taken last week:

  • Proposition 19: Marijuana Legalization -- OPPOSE
  • Proposition 25: Changes 2/3 Vote Requirement to Simple Majority to Pass State Budget -- OPPOSE
  • Proposition 27: Abolish Citizens Redistricting Commission -- OPPOSE

Positions taken at March board meeting:

  • Proposition 20: Congressional District Redistricting -- SUPPORT
  • Proposition 23: Suspends California’s Global Warming Solutions Act -- SUPPORT
  • Proposition 24: Repeals Recent Corporate Tax Reforms -- OPPOSE
  • Proposition 26: 2/3 Vote Requirement for New Fees -- SUPPORT
