Senate republican leadership transfers hands

Following the Governor’s signing of this year’s budget, Senator Bob Dutton (R-Inland Empire) officially took over as Senate Republican Leader.  You may recall that Dutton was elected by the Senate Republican Caucus back in January with a transition date of September 1st.  However, both Dutton and former Leader Senator Dennis Hollingsworth (D-Murrieta) decided to hold off on the transition until a budget plan had been signed.
