The California Coalition of Workers’ Compensation (CCWC) and the Workers’ Compensation Action Network (WCAN) will be hosting a free webinar on November 17 for a discussion post election. CMTA Director Cynthia Leon is a Board Member and Legislative Chairperson for CCWC. She is also a participating member of WCAN.

The upcoming elections will bring significant changes to Sacramento, including the new governor’s sweeping authority to alter California's workers' compensation system. California's system still ranks among the most expensive in the nation. Employers are paying more for workers' compensation, as higher medical treatment costs and destabilizing court rulings have driven up the price of injury claims by more than 50 percent since 2005.Whether you are a small business or large public agency, this educational session will help you anticipate coming changes and be part of needed solutions in 2011.
