2011 should be the year for big legislative signals to California manufacturing

Educating the legislature and regulators on the importance of manufacturing to our economy is important.

Providing those legislators with policies that will encourage the sector's growth is even more crucial.

Ensuring that they understand that manufacturing is a part of the state's budget solution can be almost impossible.



But CMTA keeps at it.  This year we have 26 freshmen legislators to educate along with California's existing 114 lawmakers. We thought it was important to share with you the two "one-pagers" we are using in our education and advocacy efforts with them.

Here is the overall CMTA policy document, "Without manufacturing, innovation is just a good idea".
