Governor Jerry Brown has appointed Democrat Michael Rossi as his new senior jobs advisor.  The position was created following requests by statewide business leaders that Brown appoint a person as a liaison between them and the Administration for the purpose of fostering and streamlining job growth operations in the state.  Rossi has held several senior executive positions throughout his career including time with financial companies such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citibank.  The position does not require Senate confirmation and Rossi will not receive compensation.
