California manufacturing employment takes another hit in December

California manufacturing took another hit in December with the loss of 2,500 more jobs, according to the  state's Labor Market Information Department monthly employment release on Friday.

The loss brings the state's annual manufacturing decline to 4,000 jobs, while the country actually grew 227,000 of its own manufacturing jobs. That's a 1.9 percent increase in the national manufacturing base.
