Join thousands of California employers, and call your state Assembly Member and Senator on Wednesday, February 18. Ask them to pass the Governor’s workers’ compensation reform legislation now so employers can see relief this year.

The late Senator Everett Dirksen once said, “When politicians feel the heat, they see the light.”

Help your elected representatives “see the light.” Call them on Wednesday, February 18, and ask them to pass the Governor’s workers’ comp reforms without further delay. Here are some suggestions to make sure your voice is heard.

» Call your State Senator and Assembly Member.

» Introduce yourself. Explain the nature of your business, how many people you employ and where you are located.

» Briefly explain how your workers’ comp costs have gone up.

» Briefly explain the steps you have been forced to take to pay your workers’ comp bill

» Ask your legislator to pass the Governor’s workers’ comp legislation, ABX4 1 and SBX4 3, without delay.

» Thank the staffer.

Please be polite and professional. The person taking your call has a tough job and isn’t responsible for this mess. Employers are focused on constructive solutions, not placing blame.
