Workers' Compensation Action Network (WCAN) launches radio advertisements

On March 30, 2004, the Workers' Compensation Action Network (WCAN) launched radio advertisements that urge the Legislature to act now to overhaul California's dysfunctional workers' compensation system.

The ads, airing in the Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, Bakersfield and San Diego markets, feature companies currently struggling with the workers' compensation crisis. Below is the text of the 60 second radio ad:

Female Announcer

Sacramento and Stockton area small businesses are being devastated by California?s out of control workers? compensation system. They?ve had to lay off workers and reduce salaries and benefits. Unless reform is enacted soon, many employers will be forced out of California. Or out of business altogether.

Corti Brothers?.
Turlock Cabinet Shop, Inc.?

Female Announcer

Governor Schwarzenegger has a plan to fix this mess, but now the legislature has to do its part. Time is running out. Call your legislators and ask them to vote for Governor Schwarzenegger?s reform plan.
