In the April edition of Fortune Magazine, the publication released their Fortune 500 – an annual ranking of the nation’s largest corporations based on 2004 revenue.

In a repeat from 2004, CMTA board member company Valero Energy moved up more spots then any member going from 34 to 22 on the list.  Last year, Valero Energy moved up substantially from 55 to 34, which equates to 33 spots gained in the last two years.  Additionally, two board members both moved up 10 spots – Dow Chemical Company moved up from 44 to 34, while Owens-Illinois moved up from 302 to 292.

Three board members made the top 10 again including ExxonMobil (2), General Motors (3) and ChevronTexaco (6).  Hewlett-Packard just missed cracking the top 10 finishing in the 11th position.
