Los Angeles City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo kicked off his campaign for California Attorney General this week in Sacramento. Running as a Democrat, he will face former Governor and Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown in the June Primary. The winner of the primary will likely face Fresno Republican Senator Chuck Poochigian in the November 06 general election.

Delgadillo, 45, made his announcement on the steps of the State Capitol.  "I'm not afraid to take on the big drug companies, insurance interests and corporate polluters who hold sway in Sacramento," Delgadillo said during his announcement. "My parents named me Rocky for a reason."

Reportedly, Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, D-Los Angeles; former Secretary of State Warren Christopher; Democratic legislators Richard Alarcón, Paul Koretz, Carole Migden; and  former basketball star Earvin "Magic" Johnson have endorsed Delgadillo.
