CMTA President Jack Stewart issued the following statement to the press on Gov. Schwarzenegger's State of the State Address:

"We commend the Governor for providing a roadmap for rebuilding California's public infrastructure.

Over the next 20 years, our growing population will seek high-wage, high-benefit jobs at California's innovative manufacturing firms. Manufacturer's ability to provide those jobs will depend on having adequate water supplies, efficient goods movement, students ready-to-work after graduation and low commute times. We look forward to working with the Legislature and the Governor to insure California will be able to accommodate and support a vibrant and robust manufacturing economy."
