CMTA board companies blanket annual Fortune 500 list

This week, Fortune Magazine released their annual ranking of America’s largest corporations in what is commonly known as the "Fortune 500".

Three CMTA board members made the top list again including ExxonMobil (1), General Motors (3) and Chevron (4).  Hewlett-Packard narrowly missed the top 10, finishing eleventh overall.

Baxter International, Raytheon and Valero Energy were recognized as three of the fastest growing companies for 2006.  Raytheon moved up six slots from 2005 finishing at 97.  Similarly, Valero Energy had another solid year moving up seven slots up to 15.  Since 1996, they have moved up an astounding 397 spots from 412 in the Fortune 500 list.

In the California ranking, Chevron (1), Hewlett-Packard (2), Intel (5) and Northrop Grumman (8) all finished in the top 10 along with several other board companies who ranked in the top 25.
