The Industrial Environmental Association and the California Manufacturers & Technology Association have again teamed up to produce an environmental conference in San Diego in the late Fall. The 2015 Environmental Training Symposium and Conference, titled “The New Reality: Prospering with Limited Resources will be held on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 at the San Diego Convention Center. A high point of the conference is the presentation of Environmental Excellence Awards to deserving companies at the luncheon on the first day.

While the agenda is still being finalized, we will be devoting an entire track to the drought and water issues. Felicia Marcus, the Chair of the State Water Resources Control Board, has already been confirmed as a speaker as well as Tim Quinn, the Executive Director for the Association of California Water Agencies. Additional topics are anticipated such as: meeting 2020 recycling goals, Proposition 65 compliance, Cap & Trade, CUPA reform, new climate change mandates, air toxic hot spots implementation, environmental justice, emerging chemicals of concern, sustainability measures, hazardous material compliance and energy and air pollution issues.

This conference is traditionally attended by approximately 400 environmental professionals, regulators and legislators.  We are currently seeking exhibitors and sponsorship in a number of categories. For more information on the conference follow this link: http://iea-sd.com/conference
