Governor Fills Management Representative Position on the Cal/OSHA Standard Board

By Nicole Rice, Policy Director, Government Relations

Capitol Update, Feb. 17, 2017

Governor Jerry Brown has appointed Ms. Chris Laszcz-Davis to the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board as the newest management representative.  The position has been vacant for some time with the passing of the previous seat holder, so her appointment was welcomed news.

As Founder and Principal at the Environmental Quality Organization LLC since 2002, Ms. Laszcz-Davis will bring strong management and industrial credentials to the Board.  Her knowledge of the manufacturing industry as well as decades of broad management experience made her a strong contender for the position and CMTA was pleased to support her candidacy.

The California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board serves as the standards-setting harm within Cal/OSHA.  Its objective is to adopt reasonable and enforceable workplace health and safety regulations that are, at a minimum, as effective as the federal standards.
